The Society’s preference is to communicate with its members by email. Where an email address is given above, all communications will be by email only. However, please do let us know if you require correspondence by post instead.

All applications have to be proposed and seconded for membership in the Society. The Proposer and Seconder must be a fully paid up members of the Society at both the time of signing this form and the April meeting when it is considered.

The Society’s Membership Secretary will contact the Proposer and Seconder to verify any information provided in the Membership Application. The Proposer and Seconder must personally know the Applicant.

All Sections (A B and C) of this Membership Application Form must be fully completed before returning it to the Society’s Membership Secretary. In light of the Society only holding Retriever Field Trials and the increasing popularity of Gundog Working Tests and Field Trials more general, the Officers and Committee consider it prudent to briefly understand a prospective member’s experience in the shooting field and particularly of Retriever Field Trials, when considering their application.

SECTION A

This is to be the fully completed by the Membership Applicant before providing the Proposer and Seconder details.

Membership Subscriptions

Joining fee:

£20 - this is to be sent when you first join the Society and is in addition to your type of membership (eg £20 plus single membership £10 = £30)

Single:

£10 payment by bank transfer or standing order (From 01.01.2027 this will increase to £15 per annum)

Single (age between 16 and 21):

£5

Junior (age up to 16):

Joint Membership:

£12

From 01.01.2027 this will be increasing to £25)

Life Member:

£250 one off payment

Annual Fees:

These fees are payable annually to maintain full membership of the Society. They are due on 1 January each year and should be paid by standing order or bank transfer.

Please note that any member who has not paid their Annual Subscription will

automatically have their membership cancelled and will have to reapply.
